We always start each class with 10 minutes of quiet time. This will allow for trouble-shooting, taking attendance and checking on the homerow/typing technique for grades 2-6. One point for quiet work and proper behavior. Another point for staying on task on completing work as a class. 2 point max per class. Please record the points on the green sheet that you will get from the office.
(You can turn on the overhead projector and use that to help teach the class. You can turn the light off in the room so they can see the overhead.)

If they can come up with a few story ideas and a plot/setting for at least one that is a good goal for us. I will finalize the groups, concepts, etc. in the near future. What they pick today is no guarantee that it will be approved by me. The stories that make the most sense, are creative and show a unique perspective will be considered first. Their commercial will last 10-15 seconds.

If their google doc account does not work, they can create it in powerpoint. Please show them how to create a new slide and add titles to each. You can keep the wiki page on the overhead so they can see what they have to write.
